Boy Scout Troop 174 Boy Scout Troop 174 recently contact Casa Esperanza about building a custom made sun shade and bench for our residents to use while waiting for the bus shuttle to UNM Hospital and UNM Cancer Center. Morgan Hall coordinated the activities, recruited volunteers, planned and priced the materials as well as delivered a final project for his Eagle Scout rank. The materials were donated by LaFarge, Lumber Inc and Ace Hardware of Rio Rancho. 14 scouts and leaders assisted with this project. A special thanks goes to Andy Graham, Curtis McNary, Ray Johnson and Boy Scout Troop 174. As you can see the Scouts worked very hard and truly delivered a wonderful, shaded bench.
